Congratulations Alice! Our Nurse of the Month for August

Alice was chosen to be Thornbury’s August Nurse of the Month based on some fantastic feedback from a member of our Bristol team who worked alongside Alice a few times over the past few weeks. In her words: “Alice is hardworking, professional and it is clear that she really cares about the patients and her role. She is always willing to help, even outside of her role. She had a tough shift with some unfair remarks from other staff which got her down but she stayed professional and positive throughout and I think she is an absolute asset and fits every characteristic a Thornbury nurse should have.”

We caught up with Alice on her win, read what she had to say below.

How long have you been working with Thornbury Nursing?

I have been working with Thornbury for 18 months.

What attracted you to join Thornbury Nursing?

Being able to choose my own shifts and where I go was the main reason I joined Thornbury. I had met many Thornbury nurses who were really passionate about who they worked for, which encouraged me to be part of the team.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I love the flexibility of working for Thornbury and the availability of shifts in my area. I have met so many lovely new people and teams who have welcomed me. Additionally, there is always support at the end of the phone with Thornbury when I need it.

How do you feel about being Nurse of the Month?

I feel very lucky to be nominated as Nurse of the Month! There are so many deserving nurses so it’s nice to be recognised. Thank you.

Congratulations Alice, you deserve it!
