Congratulations Kym! Our Nurse of the Month for May

Kym was chosen to be Thornbury’s May Nurse of the Month following some recent feedback from a community client who was extremely thankful for her help. Kym’s support helped give them the confidence to transition a patient from hospital to home.

We caught up with Kym on her win, read what she had to say below.

How long have you been working with Thornbury Nursing?

I started working with Thornbury part-time in August 2022 and became full-time in November 2022.

What attracted you to join Thornbury Nursing?

I wanted to join Thornbury due to its excellent reputation and great job opportunities.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I love the diversity and variety that Thornbury offers. One day I can be nursing a patient in their own home and the next day I can be on the wards. It enables you to keep your skills updated whilst doing something you love.

How do you feel about being Nurse of the Month?

Very honoured! And I am pleased to hear I was able to give the community client the confidence and support to ease the transition from hospital to home.
