Cathy was chosen to be Thornbury’s April Nurse of the Month due to fantastic feedback from our team.

We caught up with Cathy on her win. Read what she had to say below.

How long have you been working with Thornbury Nursing?

“I’ve been working for Thornbury Nursing for 12 years.”

What do you enjoy most about your job?

“I love nursing! I’m an A&E, medical and ICU nurse and love the variety and seeing different parts of our lovely country. I’ve been a nurse 18 years and still adore my job, I just love giving good patient care and I’m always motivated to give my everything in my work. When I was a single mother – TNS was able to provide me with absolute flexibility whilst pursuing my career and providing for my family. In my years with Thornbury I’ve been able to complete my ALS training, I’ve studied and completed my Top Up degree (from Advanced Diploma) and got a First Class Honours!”

What attracted you to join Thornbury Nursing?

“Thornbury is the best agency, respected throughout the country, and I just had to join. I’ve not been let down and always felt supported by the TNS team. I am happy to be an ambassador for Thornbury every shift I work – I always give my 100%.”

How do you feel about being Nurse of the Month?

“I’m absolutely thrilled! Thank you for the nomination!”
