Owen, our Nurse of the Year for England.

Congratulations Owen, our Nurse of the Year for England. We caught up with Owen on his win.

How long have you been working with Thornbury?

I have worked for Thornbury for 29 years.

What attracted you to join Thornbury?

I love my job with Thornbury because of the variation of no day being the same and working in so many different settings. Thornbury looks after their nurses, the pay is excellent, and the support is wonderful.

It’s an excellent company, and they care about their nurses. The training is brilliant, and the call centre is so supportive.

How do you feel about being the Nurse of the year?

I feel very honoured to be nominated Nurse of the Year. It was a big surprise, and I am absolutely thrilled.

What do you love about being a nurse?

Being a nurse is the best job helping patients and meeting so many different people from all walks of life, and seeing patients get better is a big bonus.
