How we supported Lambeth Council

We have been supporting Lambeth Council with Covid-19 testing since December 2020. The council approached us after hearing of our successes with another client.

The council wanted us to provide staffing resource to support the roll-out of mass covid testing in the community. Initially, the council did not have any staffing resource to support the regime that needed to be in place, in a very short amount of time. The initial request came in on the 23rd of December with a go-live date of the 4th of January. The sites were set up to test constituents, schools, small businesses and their employees by the deadline.

We provided guidance on the setup, structure and delivery of rapid asymptomatic testing at their main site on the 4th January 2021. Within 2 days, the council opened 2 further sites and we partnered as the sole provider of staffing resource. We worked with the council to gradually phase out our support and train their own workforce of volunteers to administer the tests moving forward.

We provided the staff and training to ensure Lambeth Council had the capacity to support conducting 540 tests per day, 3240 per week.
