With over forty years of experience working with private and public sector clients, Thornbury Nursing is well-known for supporting district nursing teams in England and Wales.
All our nurses are qualified, experienced, and ready to work alongside existing district nursing teams to provide high-quality and compassionate care to people in their homes.
Supporting district nursing services
Our nurses can work alongside your district nursing teams to fill temporary gaps in service provision. We regularly cover either annual leave or sick leave and ensure patients in the community continue to receive the best care possible.
If you find that your team is short-staffed or there is a temporary spike in demand for your services, Thornbury Nursing can help you provide reliable, personalised, compassionate and importantly, consistent care.
Our nurses are also ready to support your team in delivering complex care needs including:
- Chronic disease – support for patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and respiratory conditions.
- Continence management (including catheters and bowel management)
- End of life care
- Medication management
- Pain management
- Palliative care
- Wound care
Who we support
At Thornbury Nursing, we are highly experienced in working with district nursing teams. We are here to help you source highly skilled nurses, even at short notice, to manage caseloads as an integral part of the community team. For example, if you are dealing with staff shortages, we can supply nurses with the right skills to carry out various community responsibilities.
Our nurses
We have a rigorous and detailed recruitment process that exceeds local regulations and guidelines. All our nurses must meet our exceptionally high standards to be able to work with us. Thornbury nurses are required to have the skills and experience to ensure that the upmost quality of care is delivered, whenever and wherever you need it.
Our skilled nurses regularly work alongside existing district nursing teams to support patients and their families. They are able to provide exceptional care as well as health education so that people can feel more confident managing their own care.
