Jose was chosen to be Thornbury’s January Nurse of the Month due to his dedication and ability to work in varied specialisms, which is a perfect example of an agency nurse going the extra mile.

We caught up with Jose on his win. Read what he had to say below.

How long have you been working with Thornbury Nursing?

I’ve been working with Thornbury Nursing since 2018 and it’s been a rewarding journey filled with opportunities to grow and provide excellent care. I really wish I’d done it earlier.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

“I enjoy the flexibility, diverse assignments in clinical areas and the chance to make a difference in patients’ lives. The hospitals also recognise and appreciate my professionalism and clinical expertise.”

What attracted you to join Thornbury Nursing?

Thornbury’s reputation for high standards, excellent support for staff and the opportunity to work in challenging, dynamic environments. They have clients around the country with amazing hospitals and their teams.

How do you feel about being Nurse of the Month?

I feel incredibly honoured, humbled and grateful for this recognition. It’s motivating to know my work is valued and it encourages me to continue striving for excellence.
