Flavia was chosen to be Thornbury’s March Nurse of the Month due to fantastic feedback from our team and clients, who have both noted how great Flavia is and that it’s an absolute pleasure to work with her.

We caught up with Flavia on her win. Read what she had to say below.

How long have you been working with Thornbury Nursing?

“I have been working with Thornbury Nursing Services for 3 years and 7 months, and it has been an incredibly rewarding journey.”

What do you enjoy most about your job?

“I love the diversity of my role, working in different settings with patients of all ages and a wide range of mental health conditions. I particularly enjoy the balance of working with inpatients in hospitals and supporting patients in their own homes, which fosters community integration and helps reduce hospital admissions. Working with different healthcare professionals also provides a great opportunity to collaborate, share knowledge, and continuously learn from one another.”

What attracted you to join Thornbury Nursing?

“The flexibility was a big factor. I appreciate being able to choose when I work, which allows me to maintain a good work-life balance. The frequency of payments throughout the week is also a great benefit. Additionally, Thornbury’s reputation for high standards and professionalism made it an easy decision to join.”

How do you feel about being Nurse of the Month?

“I feel truly honoured and grateful! Nursing can be challenging, so this recognition is very encouraging and motivates me to continue providing the best care possible. Meeting new colleagues, working in different environments, and learning from each experience make this role incredibly fulfilling.”
