Becoming a nurse in Leeds

Education

There are various qualifications you will need to obtain to become a nurse. Most countries also have a registering body you will need to join to become a fully qualified nurse. In the UK, all nurses must register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Nursing degree

If you would like to embark on a nursing degree course, you will need three A-levels or equivalent level 3 qualifications. You will also need GCSEs in English, Maths and at least one Science. There are four areas of nursing you could specialise in:

Mental health nursing
Adult nursing
