Congratulations Phil! Our Nurse of the Week.

Congratulations Phil, our Nurse of the Week. We caught up with Phil on his win.

How long have you been working with Thornbury?

I have worked for Thornbury Nursing Services for five and half years. I joined in early 2016. During that time, Thornbury has allowed me to work both nationwide and internationally in diverse settings.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Patient care is at the very essence of my nursing practice. I embrace patient interaction and the challenges and satisfaction that this brings. I enjoy utilising my clinical skills to the full when on shift, which can positively influence and enhance patient care outcomes.

What attracted you to join Thornbury?

I joined Thornbury because they were recognised as the UK’s premier nursing agency and were highly professional. There are high expectations of Thornbury nurses regarding skill level and professionalism – I sought validation from that. I have been fortunate to have gained valuable international experiences in the fight against Covid 19 through joining Thornbury.

How do you feel about being Nurse of the Week?

It is a tremendous honour and privilege; I feel immensely proud and humbled to have received the Nurse of the Week nomination.
I remain fortunate to work alongside determined, caring, dedicated nursing and medical teams, who continue to work in an arduous and hazardous environment at the forefront of Covid 19 care delivery. They have been extremely generous in their acceptance of me in their workplace.

Thank you, Phil and congratulations! You deserve it!
