Flora was chosen to be Thornbury’s March Nurse of the Month following some fantastic feedback from our Community Team:

It takes a lot of work to build bonds with clients, carers, and social care teams in the community, but Flora excels in this aspect. Her commitment to understanding individual needs shines through in her responsive and compassionate approach.”

We caught up with Flora on her win. Read what she had to say below.

How long have you been working with Thornbury Nursing?

I have been working with Thornbury Nursing since early 2023.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I love the diversity and the freedom to choose my own schedule. I’m also enjoying spending more one-on-one time with clients in the community as it’s my love for working with people that propelled my career in healthcare.

What attracted you to join Thornbury Nursing?

The flexibility, and moreover the excellent pay rates! We healthcare professionals are grossly underpaid for the responsibility we take on. Joining Thornbury enabled me to turn my focus back onto my own wellbeing as opposed to continually burning out to break even.

How do you feel about being Nurse of the Month?

I’m really touched to receive this lovely recognition. Thank you to the Community Team for awarding this to me.
