Congratulations Sever! Our Nurse of the Week.

Congratulations Sever, our Nurse of the Week. We caught up with Sever on his win.

How long have you been working with Thornbury?

I joined Thornbury back in 2016 and most of the time I was covering medical wards. Recently I had the opportunity to be introduced into community care where I’ve been exposed to the roles of community nursing.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I’m proud that I can deliver care in a hospital and community setting and also happy to be learning new skills from community care. I’m always there for the patients, and most of my patients, are happy and feeling safe whilst I’m delivering care to them. I always aim to make a change that matters in their journey of getting better and regaining their independence.

What attracted you to join Thornbury?

Thornbury’s motto “when no one else can” and knowing the efforts should always be rewarded accordingly were the elements that helped me make the right decision of joining Thornbury. Needing to deliver excellent care, I took the right decision to join an agency that was promising excellent services to the clients and their nurses.

How do you feel about being Nurse of the Week?

For me, the Nurse of the Week title is a huge achievement that comes only with lots of hard work and excellence in all aspects of the nursing role. It means a lot to me, and it has boosted my eagerness to continue working hard to ensure I’m delivering high standards of care. Thank you for giving me the opportunity of working with an excellent agency.

Thank you, Sever and congratulations! You deserve it!
