Following some fantastic feedback from Craig in our Cardiff Team, April was nominated as our Nurse of the Week.
“We always receive positive feedback from Senior Management at the School where April works. They commended the way she presents herself and the way she communicates with the pupils. She is always available for extra shifts and is flexible if the School needs to make changes to the rota. She is polite, friendly and a very knowledgeable nurse – a great member of the team!”
We caught up with April:
TNS: How long have you been working in healthcare?
April: I qualified as a Paediatric Nurse in 2012.
TNS: What do you enjoy most about your job?
April: I absolutely adore working with children, they are so much fun and brutally honest! I love the job satisfaction of knowing you have helped, no matter how big or small and the special bonds made with children and their families is unforgettable. Working for Thornbury has also allowed me to work in many different areas and settings, which keeps work really interesting and means I am constantly learning.
TNS: What attracted you to join Thornbury?
April: My sister, is a Thornbury nurse and highly recommended the agency. I also wanted more freedom in choosing when I work; the feeling is completely different when you choose your own work pattern. I can always make time for my family and friends now. Thornbury has always been very professional, supportive and the pay rates are fantastic.
TNS: How do you feel about being our Nurse of the Week?
April: I feel so happy and encouraged! It’s always great to hear positive feedback, especially when working in a new area. It’s a big boost, thank you!
Congratulations once again April.
